I capture and manipulate sound, video, and images.
As a kid, I repaired (and disassembled) as many junked radios, cassette players, and boom boxes as I could, on a never-ending quest to listen to T.L.C., N.W.A., Alanis Morissette, and Soundgarden at the highest fidelity possible.
In college, I put my penchant for hacking analog sound devices to good use and earned my degree in Recording Arts.
From there, I interned under Lewis Martinee (Expose, Debbie Gibson) and engineered at various studios while tracking countless underground metal demos on the side. None of this paid very much (major studios were folding left and right at the time), so I also had to work day jobs just to survive. Facing serious burnout after a few years, I put the music industry behind me and moved on to the corporate world of telecommunications.
Well, that last sentence isn’t entirely true. I tried to put the music industry behind me. I never stopped reading the trades, I kept updating my DAWs (Cubase and Pro Tools), and began working on my own demos to keep my skills sharp.
When I moved to Chicago in 2014, I decided to get back into the game. I told myself that this time, I was going to build a portfolio I could display with pride (and not starve). From featuring my favorite comedians on my own show, Performance Revue, to working with universities and the city of Chicago, to starting partnerships with local businesses and non-profits, it looks like this portfolio’s coming along just fine.
This site is a professional introduction and C.V. I’m proud to display this evolving body of work, and I appreciate your willingness to experience it.
Click things. Have fun.
